saw all entries on Saturday....they all looked great.
I am a bit biased on my buddy FINKLE's Hunter. Looks great in person!

The say no to drugs was a great bust as well.

Congrats to everyone.

Loved um!

Anyone know how many overall entries there were this year (or at least a general estimate)? More or less than last year? Just curious.

At 37 entries I think it was the worst turnout of entries yet. That's me in 2nd Place in fantasy with the Anototitan by Createous Creations. That has to be the WORST picture that's ever been taken of me, or maybe I'm just gettin' old!!!

It was indeed the lowest turn out to date. And with the little perks for people to enter like not having to wait in that long ass line to get into the show, registration for the contest on Friday AND Saturday and still have this bad a turn out?? Well suffice to say that if the entries do not increase BIG TIME next Oct, there will be no more model contest at Chiller!

Big congrats to not only the winners, but all who entered! While just 37 entries, they were all of a high modeling standard. Sometimes there just doesn't seem to be enough awards to give even though there were some other deserving kits.

Marc, the Anatotian was a beauty!

If I could have a wish for next October Chiller, it would be that everyone who could, would bring at least one (more, even better) kit for the contest- not because they want to win anything- but because they want to show their kits, support our hobby and help rejuvenate what was once the premiere model contest in the US. I know there are more modelers in the NY/NJ area than were entered...

pretty pleeze? ;-)

MVT

Ed, if there was a table to just exhibit, I'd bring a couple of past entries just for show- maybe others would also? I know I love looking at kits just for kits sake- not to vote for them.

Thanks for the kind words!! It's really appreciated.
I agree with manthing, let everyone bring at least 2 kits or even 3. I thought if I bring too many, people might think i'm kinda hogging space. It's not only the award but just letting other modelers see your work. It really was easy to move around chiller with a kit contest entry. They let me and the people with me use the elevator whenever I wanted.
Also there were no kids entries. I'm MAKING my boys enter next Oct. What better way to spend time together, than showing the kids the hobby we all love.
Best - Marc
