Medusa's Gaze a.k.a. Snake Charmer from Spawning Pool Studio

My latest is Snake Charmer from Spawning Pool Studios which features Conan vs. Medusa in a massive 1/4 scale kit!! I call my rendition Medusa's Gaze because our hero has looked into the eyes of his foe and is turning to stone right before our eyes. Sorry to all you Conan fans out there, but this is his last encounter!! As always, the kit is fully hand-painted using acrylics and inks. I hope you like it ... it's a phenomenal sculpt, but I will say, my hands/arms are more than a little tired from holding this beast ...many, many pounds of resin to handle.

Though his arms are turning to stone, and he can't see where to swing it, ....he still has one sword left to stab Medusa with. And in Conanesque style, ya know he wouldn't let her win with giving her everything he has to give.

The guys at Spawning Pool Studios did a great job sculpting Conan, I wish they'd have done Medusa's outfit a little differently though. They have Conan reading like Frazetta, and Medusa reading like Witchblade. Cool overall concept for sure though, I totally dig it!!!

You'll have to do a vinyl kit next to give your arms a break! ~Nate.

BEAUTIFUL work, Jim! You beat me to the barbarian turning to stone treatment! I bought a copy of this last year, and it's my intention to convert the Medusa figure "Crazy Joe" style -
