Cheers Rick, these kits are the closest thing to scratch building out of a box, hard work but worth it in the end as they are still very accurate replicas of these classic TV icons!

Many thanks Ant, it was great to see you and Cathy too and your models were off the charts too!

SEVANS MODELS 1/5 SCALE CYBERMAN

Hi Folks, Another Dr Who favourite character of mine, finally over the finish line and into the display case. This one pushes the modelling skills I can tell you, build thread here: https://theclubhouse1.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=127084 https://i.postimg.cc/14ZT8kvS/Finished-Build-1.jpg https://i.p...

SEVANS MODELS 1/5 SCALE CYBERMAN

This is the last Sevans kit I’ve had in my stash for a few years now, the Wisher Davros, Ice Warrior and Movie Dalek builds I have posted here a while ago. They were all pretty challenging but good fun too, so it’s time to get this one across the finish line. Starting with some shots of the box and ...

Re: Godzilla Minus One kits?

Hi Folks, I managed to chat with the very helpful Doc Mac over at Kaiju Kits and he knew al about the Black Dragon Studio model. He said it's unlikely to be still in production and in his experience, anything being sold after their Wonderfest will be crazy prices. It's a heavy beast too, so shipping...

Re: Godzilla Minus One kits?

The Aoshima kit is beautifully engineered but, yes, small. Great for dioramas if you're into that. Also good if you're running out of space, like me. Anyhow Paul, my digging shows this to be from Black Dragon Studios: "Kurokawa Kobo Godzilla 2023 Ginza Roar WF2025S Kit." Vlad's suggestion...

Godzilla Minus One kits?

Hi all, Having seen the film which I thoroughly enjoyed, especially the new, mean and spiky design of the big G, I'm really keen to get a model of this version of the bad boy if possible. The Aoshima plastic kit looks really nice and is a hot contender, but is quite small considering the epic scale ...

Re: Maddi Harryhausen Cyclops Commission

That looks awesome Jon, superb build and paint as usual and a nice change from scaly reptiles! I remember Terry Webb going ballistic over this kit when he reviewed it in AFM. I got he impression he's quite a fan of the Cyclops and maintained this was one of the best he's seen and I must agree, the s...

Fantastic, consistent quality of work Derek, I especially like the Die Hard and Silence of the Lambs tributes, both of course by UK garage kit legend Mike Hill. Your Billiken Dracula is off the charts!

A superb range of models and subjects matey, my favourites are the Amazon's Pet and Evil Dead2 tribute, closely followed by Jessica 6. It certainly makes me wonder what on earth I've been playing at in terms of output, but then again, I'm still chipping away at being a self employed artist and tutor...

Re: Billiken Dracula

Outstanding rescue work Derek, a paint job that really does the sculpture justice! I love the Billiken range, benchmark classics that still hold up today. Perhaps the Creature was the weakest in the line in terms of likeness, mainly due to its hands which are a little too big and its stance which le...

Robert Eggars version of Nosferatu blew me away and so this quickly became my kit of the year, many thanks to Mark Warthling and the team at Pestilence Labs once again for releasing such an incredible tribute. Just got him over the line before the UK new year rolls in, I've loved every minute of thi...

Re: DAY OF THE DEAD 40 ANNIVERSARY TRIBUTE - MY FIRST GO AT SCULPTING!

Wow, many thanks everyone for your encouraging comments! I'm going to take it all to show my good friend Terry Norton, a very talented sculptor who also has a lot of experience in making moulds and casting. I've no idea what's involved or more importantly, what it might cost, so it will be good to g...

DAY OF THE DEAD 40 ANNIVERSARY TRIBUTE - MY FIRST GO AT SCULPTING!

Hi Folks, I hope you are all keeping well in the run up to Christmas. I've long been a fan of George A Romero's groundbreaking Zombie trilogy, Night, Dawn and then 'Day of the Dead' being my favourite. I realised it was the 40th anniversary of this film this year, can you believe it, 1985 when it fi...
