Jersey Fest 2023

#1 Post by kevtk135 »

Jersey Fest for 2023 is in the books, and what a great time it was seeing all the models, meeting up with friends etc... I didn't take a workshop class this year, but they all sold out so a lot of people got some new skills.

Due to timing I got there on Saturday late in the afternoon, and the turnout seemed a little light, but a friend was there early, and said it was very well attended.

I didn't take pics of the vendor room - there are a lot of those on the various FB pages. But I did shoot the Contest Room. Each model was better than the one before it. Well done by all and looking to the one in 2024!

Sorry if I missed someone's model. There were a lot on some tables and impossible to get them all. Apologies...

Thank you for posting these pics!
Looks like some very high quality and amazing work.

Does anyone know which ones won gold, silver, bronzes and special awards?
See my model kit collection on YouTube Model Club TV Episode 86
See my kitbash work-in-progress pics in the Kustomizers section of the clubhouse
Thanks for looking !

Thanks for post Kev. There's some impressive work there for sure. Standouts for me include the sweet Moonbus build and that great spread of Universal monsters particularly The Phantom and Christine.

AFAIF no results have been released yet. But thinking about last time it took a week or so for results to be published. I guess all the organizers are taking a well deserved nap. ;)

Unbelievable! Each model was better was than the next one. Even the teen and pre-teen table (*I thought I had a pic, but no) made me wanna go home and throw everything I have out...

Kev,
Yeah, the quality looks very high. In cherry-picking some out I was highlighting subject preference not build quality. :)

It's so true. I've sent a lot of time looking at other people's work lately and the more I look the less I build. :(
