HI I recently set up my space (still refining) though it s smaller than most i have seen around here i can also recommend ikea for good solid tabletops.
I bought a Vikka Amon (sounds like a demon name  ) top for 35 Euros that is 150 wide 60 deep and 3.5 cm thick, covered in black lack, and to be honest you could not beat this even if you bought the wood and cut it yourself (at least not where i live).
I had a supprting structure salvaged from previous tables and used that but you can find a whole range of option for legs and such.

I'll send pics once the place is presentable.

cheers
Marco

I love your setup. IKEA furniture is great in my opinion. Sturdy and cheap enough to not care about messing it up=)

This year's Wonderfest inspired me to get this workshop organized so I can get more done! First order of business was to throw out the WAY oversized and too-dark-to-work-in-it spray booth that I had built out of plywood and the guts of a Micro-Mark booth. Stupid thing didn't move enough air to do any good anyway. So, here's where I stand:

*** Photos deleted because, thanks to the 2014 Layoff, I no longer have the workbench, paint area, or even the APARTMENT anymore. Photobucket quit working, anyway. ***

I see you got one of the Pebbles kit.

So... what are you going to use for a spray station?

I'm just gonna rig up a large Rubbermaid storage container turned on its side. Since they're translucent, that'll let light in. That old wooden box of mine was a joke. One of my more glaring "It seemed like a good idea at the time" moments.

You fellas have some sweet looking work set ups!

Here is a photo of my kitchen table set up. Hurricane Sandy took out my basement work space and I haven't gotten it fully sorted out yet

Hi All,

Am I the only person feeling green with envy looking at these pix?
How do you fellas keep it so tidy?
If I lift a few one night I might post some pix of mine but I'd have
to know that the Health And Safety people aren't watching :D

I just found this thread... This is what I had in our first house...far more space than should be legal...and a royal pita to keep clean.

Since then, we have moved and I have a considerably smaller foot print to take care of...

I have since tweaked the new a little bit but venting the paint booth directly outside through a dryer vent type set up, rather than using the window insert as it was a royal pain to install/remove it and when the mercury dips here in CO. the cold air would just fall down the exhaust tube and turn the room into an ice box. Still a bit more remodeling going to take place, but that is still a few months out yet.

Thanks, "Q" :)
