Re: GAME OF THRONES - Season 7 thread - with SPOILERS
As to Bronn, I wouldn't be surprised to find him riding north with Jaime.
He did say earlier this season that he was going to make sure Jaime doesn't die before giving him his castle.
I too think the season will wrap up the war of with the dead first, then deal with the iron throne later.
Though, since Theon is going after Euron, he will probably discover that Euron is heading to Essos, not the Iron Islands.
As to that look on Tyrion's face at the end. I think it's because he knew Cersei was lying.
I wouldn't be surprised if he even told her to just tell them they are allies so they will go take care of the problem in the north.
I don't see what else he could have said to her, to convince her to come back to the meeting.

When Samwell finds he is now the head of house Tarly things may get interesting. He also possesses one of the most powerful swords of Westeros. Knowledge is power and that pudgy head of his is packed with it, more than he even realizes.
Apparently all the Night King's captains are brothers of Tarly's wife. Something may come of that.

After thinking about it I bet he is upset because he knows he is being replaced. As to that look on Tyrion's face at the end

I've never read the books and I understand why the TV series had to keep going but you can damn sure tell the difference between Martin's organic logic and that of the TV writers who are by necessity compressing the storytelling through leaps of established logic and ridiculously convenient coincidences and expository dialogue. I understand it but it's still a letdown.

It's funny how stuff pops into your head when you least expect it.
Given "The Mountain's" current condition(ing) - could we reasonably expect a repeat of the Python Black Knight scenario?

But his isn't. He took The Black, so he has no claim anymore.temperflash wrote:When Samwell finds he is now the head of house Tarly things may get interesting.
Actually, I wonder how much of that was forced upon them by HBO.Scott M wrote:I've never read the books and I understand why the TV series had to keep going but you can damn sure tell the difference between Martin's organic logic and that of the TV writers who are by necessity compressing the storytelling through leaps of established logic and ridiculously convenient coincidences and expository dialogue. This is, after all, and extremely expensive show to produce. I think HBO went to the show runners and told them to wrap things up. They'd get enough time to tell the rest of the story, but no more dragging it out.
I come to that conclusions because season 6 was fine. It was all beyond the books, but meshed pretty seamlessly with all that had come before. But after that season was over, all of a sudden we find out that there are only going to be 13 more episodes? That is all they need to tell the rest of the story? And now, all of a sudden the story is moving at warp speed.
Basically checking off all the high points with very little time in between to absorb, savor, or digest all that is transpiring. It wouldn't have taken much at all to make season 7 a ten episode season. I little discussion here and there between characters. A bit more lead-up and actually seeing the battles early in the season to take the 2 castles. Etc...

This young man does a rather good job of critiquing Season 7 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWHhMc8fr-E
Don't agree with EVERY observation he makes, but do agree with MOST.
Well worth a watch

OMG!
That was great!
Especially the part when he talks about them going north of the wall.
I loved what he said about there should have already been people trying to trap undead people to bring them back to study.
