Finished my Grail!

#1 Post by Mitchellmania »

After almost 14 years of searching, I finaly got this kit
from Resin From the Grave the War of the Gargantuas kit.
I've never seen one built up save for the b&w pic in their
1993 catalogue (which was very helpful for octo's tentacle placement)
This one's a keeper. I hope Mike produces more of this kit- molds are still
there. Well, here it is:

I had a great time building this kit, some patience and planning but I'm
happy with it!!
Thanks!

Well Mitch, let me be the first to say.....FANTASTIC JOB. :thumb2:

The colors look great, and I really like the nameplate with the splashes of water on it.

I have never seen this kit before, thanks for sharing....... :D

This is great - love the fur and the eyes of the octopus.
I'm not sloppy - I'm an Impressionist!
Therefore anything that looks like a flaw is an intentional and integral part of the artwork as a whole.

Excellent job, Mitch!
This was worth it waiting for, I guess!
I haven't seen this kit neither, very cool!

I've seen some good stuff from you recently Mitch, so for a grail kit was expecting something very good.....and was'nt dissapointed

Just the sign looks like it's had more attention paid to it than most full kits.
Some very nice work. I bet you could have some fun lighting this too in different ways.

Thanks again for the comments!
Bill, there was some prepwork, which I don't mind. I had to resculpt many of the suction cups on the tentacles, and figuring out location and
position of them was a challange. Yep Gargantuas movie. A sequel to
Frankenstein Conquers the World.
