I THINK the 2 Dark-Horse pieces are around 1:8 scale - not positive as all of mine are boxed away.bucketfoot-al wrote:How big are these Predator pieces?
I did post these a while ago HMSHeavy Metal Spike wrote:This sculpt (along with the "companion" Dark Horse Jungle Hunter) will always hold a special place in my heart.
They were the very first 3D representations of my fave character/franchise I ever realised existed . . . I'd seen the movies, bought the VHS tapes, the DVD's, the soundtrack CD's, the comics, the graphic novels, the cuddly toys (OK - not the cuddly toys) . . . but I'd never seen model kits or prepaints . . . NOTHING!
They were found by accident in a display case of a (long since gone) comic shop in New Westminster, BC, about 30mins drive away from ours. My reaction approximated that of all 3 Pointer Sisters (and I just couldn't hide it). The owner only took cash (not credit cards, so I got him to promise to hang on to them for a day until I was able to return with the pennies - $250 CAD for the Jungle Hunter buildup, and $200 CAD for the City Hunter buildup - back on 4th June 2005. this hobby has cost me a small fortune since then![]()
You've done a great job on this Steve - thanks for the trip down memory-lane![]()
I wish more people did predator buildups![]()

Another thanks goes out to Steve - he's listed this buildup on eBay, and it popped up in 1 of my automated daily searches.
Recognising it, I checked the auction, and (as eBay does) it gave me a ton of "related" auctions based on subject matter - ONE of which was a recast that my searches hadn't picked up  http://theclubhouse1.net/phpBB3/viewtop ... 0#p1446080
So thanks to Steve - the VeRO is now in to get the wee recasty bugger removed![]()
