Kent Kidwell's Frankenstein - Diorama Completed

#1 Post by csoldier »

Latest off ‘the bench’ is the final version of Kent Kidwell’s big ‘Wrightson-style’ Frankenstein’s ‘Monster’. The figure was finished a while back, but the backdrop has been on an off for a while, but finally finished.

The copper-gizmo is an old Airfix early steam engine kit which looked appropriately early Victorian-ish in design. The glass laboratory equipment is glass laboratory equipment, books are scratch-built.

I was going to add some extra body parts but didn’t want to overdo it, the lung and other lump of internal organ are from the old ‘Visible-Man’ kit which is slowly providing body parts for a few kits.

Great work Dave,

There's a lot of fine detail going on in that diorama, you've really captured that Victorian laboratory flavour!
The figure's superb too, we just need a UKGK show now to see it up close, roll on 2022!

Take care and all the best,
Paul

Absolutely gorgeous, nice job.

This sculpt really is incredible, you did it justice for sure.
It's not that I think stupidity should be punishable by death.

I just think we should take the warning labels off of everything and let the problem take care of itself.
