Jeff Yagher's "The Candy Man" PAINTED IN STOP MOTION

#1 Post by bishopsix »

I recently finished this piece from Goodfellas Resin. With an impeccable likeness by Jeff Yagher and an incredibly detailed base, it was a fun challenge for my imagination and incredibly rewarding to complete. The project was made all the more ambitious by my decision to photograph the process in stop-motion and present the kit and video to my mother, a lifelong Gene Wilder fan, for her birthday this weekend (though I tried in vain to get it done by Christmas). Check out the vimeo link below to see the video!

Okay, that was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Such a great tribute the Phenomenal Gene Wilder. I wish he could have seen it too. Congrats, that was a pleasure to watch.

Saw this last night on FB.
It's amazing.
Both watching it come together, as well as the work done on the piece.

WOW! Sensational! The detail on his floral shirt is incredible. Actually, all the detailing is impressive. His eyes are hypnotic.

Top-quality buildup.

The time and effort you put into the build AND the photography for the animation must have been SO appreciated by your Mother.

Wonderful - simply wonderful.

Well done!

(* and DAMN that likeness is spot-on! *)
