Hope Buc doesn't mind me adding this link (I'll edit the post if I'm stepping on toes Buc) - new 1:1 "Khaleesi" bust being produced by "ArtDept"
Really nice sculpt.

Big question remains. Was that Shaggydog's (Rickon's dire wolf) head? I suppose so since Rickon is gone.
Also very glad to see Tormund Giantsbane (Freefolk Leader) survive so he can romance Brienne.
Finally, I admire you guys for actually remembering everyone's names!! Haha
Holy crap I'm bad with names ... ;)
I do a lot of Googling as I type.

Well, if you want to armchair QB then Jon should have never charged into the battle to begin with. All their strategy centered around letting Ramsay charge first. But, as usual Jon let his emotions take control and completely threw that out the window.
Even after Sansa explicitly warned him to not let Ramsay goad him into doing what he wanted.
Jon is a great fighter, but a terrible tactician.
I agree Jon did not handle himself well, but (to be fair) he didn't have all the information needed for his battle plan. It might have occurred to Sansa at some point to let Jon know she had an army from the Vale close by, and perhaps willing to fight on her behalf. I understand her not mentioning it when she refused Littlefinger's initial offer, but once she sent the letter...she should have let Jon know about them. Their surprise attack worked and gave the Stark faction a decisive victory, but may have cost more lives than necessary? I suppose if Ramsay had found out about Littlefinger's army being in the area he would have stayed locked up inside Winterfell, and the battle would have become a siege. So, it may have worked out the best way that it could for the Stark's. Losing Rickon was tough, but I don't think there was anyway to save him...short of some type of "Black Ops" mission through a long forgotten entrance into Winterfell.

Overall a great episode. I thought the Jon getting "trampled to death" scene played a little long, but the rest was great and I loved the stuff from Meereen. The only problem is, with Ramsay dead...I don't know who to hate now?

Given actions so far and possibilities going forward, the ones that immediately sprang to mind (but there are plenty of others we won't mind getting offed) . . .

All good choices, but I think Walder Frey is the big winner!

No problem. That's what they're there for!

I couldn't stop thinking that if some asshat is lobbing arrows at you...
RUN A ZIG ZAG PATTERN, Stupid!!!!! Naw... let's just run a straight
line and hope his 'distance-vision' is off! Sheesh.

(and I agree... sure John would have liked to know there was a freaking
Army in waiting!) Never liked that girl! Please kill her off already!

Great episode!

Oh SNAP! - seriously - WTH !

Although I suppose he then would have got all his archers to lob them out there as he did a few mins later.

But still (geez).

An arrow through the heart within an arms reach of your half-brother is cruel, but by Ramsay Bolton standards it was almost merciful. I know that's messed up, but it's true...

Cersi.
I have a feeling she is going to do something in the finale that is going to put her in the running for worst person left alive on the show.

Since I'm a GOT newbie, I’m googling/devouring like a kid in candy store.

You long-standing fans have likely encountered this stuff before - but just in case - here's the best compilations of "Game Of Thrones Funny Moments" (interviews & panel appearances etc.) that I found while browsing (all created/uploaded by "Lurre 10").

I started with part 9 and worked backwards. Some really nice (and very funny) stuff.

I also love the way he uses the GOT theme music (a different genre/style each time) as the intro/outro.

Sansa is shaping up to be a great schemer.
She was completely indifferent to Rickon's capture. She'd already written him off as dead.
We (the audience) know she wrote to Little Finger requesting help and that the help was coming - so why didn't she tell John instead of allowing him to ride into battle? Likely because she was willing to let him die to accomplish her goal.
It looks like she wants to lead House Stark in an alliance with Little Finger.
We know he wants to marry her. I get the feeling she'll agree to that to mount an anti-Lanister force.
When she finds out Bran's alive I suspect there'll be maneuverings to make sure he never takes his place as the only legal male heir to House Stark.
Female characters are starting to take centre stage. Daenarys and Yara Greyjoy and now Sansa.
However, I think all of this is moot since I suspect John Snow and Daenarys are destined to form the final alliance. I also think we'll discover John Snow is a legal Stark, son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen - which would make Daenarys John Snow's aunt. Of course in this show brothers and sisters are closer than brothers and sisters ought to be. So why can aunts and nephews be close too?

I seriously doubt that Sansa is indifferent / wants her brothers dead.

It would be a mistake to forget about Arya, btw.

There's no doubt she had given up on Rickon as dead.
She said as much.
"He's as good as dead."
"We're never getting him back."
Those are lines spoken by the character.
And what's her motivation for keeping secret from Jon the fact that she solicited help from Little Finger and the knights of the Vale?
There's really no excuse for not telling him. 'Hey, Jon, BTW, you might want to know I called on Lord Baelish to come help us. Just sayin'.'
That kind of information's pretty helpful when you're drawing up a battle plan.
Watch the character's expression as she and Little Finger sit on their horses and observe the battle and Jon running up the hill to Winterfell after Ramsey Bolton.
Sansa has become a student of Little Finger's and is playing - dare I say it - The Game of Thrones.
BTW, I haven't forgotten about Arya - I just don't see her leading House Stark.
I see her teaming up with The Hound.

We should have started a "Dead Pool" (a game of prediction for who will die) at the beginning of the season.
My money (if I had any) would be on Melisandre in episode 10.

King Tommen is also a good candidate for death. He's another one who will most likely run in a straight line when someone is trying to kill him with arrows.

I'm going to repost a few theories I have heard on other forums. Can't remember who said what, but they kind of made sense.

First of all, with the battle. It was mentioned, even if Jon knew about the Knights of the Vale, odds are, Littlefinger would still find a way to show up a half hour late.
That way he could swoop in after both forces were already depleted and end up still having the largest army in the area.

Another thought, about Cersi.
Imagine if she were to actually confess her sins.
Then it would come out that Tommen actually has no claim to the throne as he is Jamie's son, not Robert's.
Talk about chaos!
Which, would nullify the no trial-by-combat proclamation.

Fantastic episode to wrap the season.
I almost cheered out loud when Arya settled the score - Lannisters aren't the only ones who pay their debts!

And a master stroke dealing with the Sparrow and everyone else simultaneously.

As we all knew Tommen wasn't long for the world. When the camera stayed on the window you knew what was coming.

Oh, and...

Now that the Lords of the North have declared themselves for the new "King of the North" - Jon Snow (who, as I predicted is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen) - is there any doubt Sansa and Little Finger don't like the way things are shaping up?
