Who Dies First by Mark Van Tine

#1 Post by Nalissa2 »

Hi all, here is my latest paint up. Sculpted by Mark Van Tine and expertly casted by Paul Gill. It's a great kit.
I customized it quite a bit. The sword, chainmail, loincloths and ax are all substitutions.
I really wanted him to amp him up best I could since he is a pet project of mine. :)

Wow! Sensational skin tones. His scars look amazing. Clothing is superb. Base is fantastic.

A flawless build.

Wow

That looks amazing.
First thing that caught my eye was the metalwork. Just eye catching and so real.
That lead me down to the boots and the details on the base. More awesomeness.
Then I started to check out the great work on the skintones and such.
So natural and understated.
Looks like a pic of a real person standing there.

Amazing paintjob, skin colors, hand details, sword detail, the list goes on.
Your application and attention to detail is great.
Do you use airbrushing for the skin?

Very nice work!
In studying the pictures, it appears that the chain mail is real, was that included with the kit, or was that something you added?
If it was something you added, what was your source? I've been looking for mail in that scale for a different figure for a couple years and have been unable to find any.
Thanks, and again, awesome job.
