Never really knew much about this kit.
Just knew it was a rare piece of the MS line. But since I figured I would never own one, I never researched it at all.
Now that I have it, it looks pretty darn cool.
6 poseable legs
poseable tail
clear wings and eyes.
Just a bit of a challenge for building. Still working on cleiang up the leg seams.
Then I have to mask the wings before I can put them in the body and put the body together.
I want to leave them clear.
Cool... Glad to se one of these in the "progress" stage! I've been considering starting mine as well... But I think I'll
follow yours along the way first Trev
If they were still on the kit, they probably would have.
But I got to the point where the legs were done, and then just got busy with other kits and forgot about it.
rubber bands??? i thought those were stripes you painted on...and they looked cool!

Yeah, no base with the actual kit. Think it was the only MS kit without a base.
Though the ones that come with the figures are pretty small and boring.
One thing that doesn't come across well in the photos, is that I am using pearlescent and metalic paints.
That way the colors have a little shimmer and shift to them, like real insects tend to do.
Think I am going to have to break out the beast of an airbrush I have to shade the wings on this bugger.
iridescent/pearlized works great on this bad boy...esp on the colorful patches along the side...

Hopefully by next weekend I will get a full photo spread done on it, and get the page finished on my sight.
Then I can move on to the next kit in the line.
