Re: SD T-Rex from Wonderfest 2018

I like the look of this - the sculpt, the build-up and the paint job - NICE work all round!

Pretty sure I´ve seen this in the Members swap and sale.

Thanks, kev - good to hear from you.
I´m all fingers and thumbs at the moment - apparently this isn´t like riding a bike. The painting part will be the hardest. Looking forward to it.

3 McGrady kits

Trying to do some Dinosaur model work again and these 3 McGrady kits are built, puttied, primed and ready for paint. (Well, almost - I snapped the supporting leg of the 1/35th Tyrannosaurus rex whilst trying to take a photo of it standing, so I´ve got to drill and pin it to fix that now.) http://gor...

Nice job on a very impressive kit, Kev.
I really like this sculpt and you are so right - vinyl plants mostly do not look right. Your use of natural materials brings a real boost to this.
Well done, pal.

Re: Tyrannosaurid kits for sale.

You´re right. The post has gone. Judith is sold. Trcic Daspletosaurus is spoken for. I still have the Foulkes T. rex for sale along with some other kits. I have my hands full with a family situation right now, kits that have been sold are getting sent but not straight away. Will try and post a new F...

Wauw! Most impressive. I genuflect before you, Terry. John Gurche says the following in "Shaping Humanity" (when describing his choices for the skin colouration of his reconstructions of our predecessors):- "Adults of all three species of African ape have very dark facial skin. There ...

Re: Shapeways

I have half a dozen in white strong and flexible plastic and am very dissapointed with them - very grainy, very visible stepping from the printing and very soft detail - especially around the eyes. Pentaceratops , Centrosaurus x3, Chasmosaurus x 3, Olorotitan . I liked the idea of having slightly di...
