I asked this question too and didn't really get much of an answer either so I just started playing around with them. What I have figured out is that they are even more subtle than the transparent paint. If you want the slightest hint of color in an area, these are the way to go. I am painting one of...

Hello, I have done some limited work with latex. I am by no means a pro with it, so please double check my advice. In the past when I had to remove a seam from a Batman cowl, I covered the area with corn starch, talc powder will work as well. Then I put the soft, felt polishing bit on my dremel tool...

Incredible! THe helmet detail is perfect for the winter camo and the camo pattern on the pants is dead on. Excellent weathering and detail. He looks like he has been in Stalingrad for a while.
