Re: Prehistoric Scenes News for 2026

Forgot to mention, it's also been announced that the Cro-Magnon Woman will also include the original torso parts that were rejected as being a bit risque for 70s kids to be building. :D

Prehistoric Scenes News for 2026

I know many of y'all stay away from Facebook, so here's a bit of news that was shared there by Dencomm.

In 2026, Dencomm plans to reissue the Neanderthal Man, Cro-Magnon Man, Cro-Magnon Woman, the Cave, and the Tar Pit from reverse-engineered molds.

Re: So, what cool styrene have you scored lately?

My latest haul from Cult: USS Cerritos, and the prebuilt/painted USS Discovery. Couldn't pass it up at that price.

Re: The return of the MPC Black Hole kits

A bit of a correction... in the Wonderfest video from Round 2, Jamie Hood said that they're CONSIDERING correcting the length of the Cygnus, but they have to look over the molds and examine test shots before they can decide if it's cost-effective.

How was the Crowne Plaza?

I've been hearing some concerning stuff from folks at Wonderfest regarding the Crowne Plaza after its recent "upgrade." Things like room air conditioning not working in several rooms, the hotel restaurant having REALLY gone downhill, and complaints about the changes in the layout. Does any...

The return of the MPC Black Hole kits

Just saw a pic from FineScale Modeler of the Round 2 booth at Wonderfest. The Cygnus, Maximillian, and V.I.N.CENT kits are set for reissue in 2025. Round 2 is also correcting the length of the Cygnus kit.

Aurora Allosaurus base now available again from the original molds

Just a heads up for anyone who might need one: When Atlantis started the process of reissuing the Saber Toothed Tiger and Cave Bear kits, they discovered the Saber Tooth molds also included the base pieces for the Allosaurus. Atlantis is now running new Allosaurus bases, and making them available th...

I built that Evil Iron back when I was a kid and have been wanting to get one since I got back into the hobby. Just don't want it enough to pay what it usually goes for since I am not a big vehicle bui...

Re: 3D printed Anguirus sculpted by Dopepope

Update: Gave both to my brother in law. I could NOT get the Godzilla figure's teeth to print right in FDM at that small a scale, and I lack the display space to go larger. I'm planning on switching to a resin printer around February. I'll reprint both then, in a size that won't eat all my display sp...

Re: 3D printed Anguirus sculpted by Dopepope

Since I showed a partial print in the scale issue photos, might as well show the entire figure. Another DopePope sculpt, Showa Godzilla.

Re: 3D printed Anguirus sculpted by Dopepope

This is how much the scale was off. :D They were both supposed to be 1/250 scale. I think they miscalculated Anguirus' height, taking a figure listed for his height when standing on the hind legs, as in the movie still posted, and interpreted that as his height at the shoulder while on all fours. ht...

Re: 3D printed Anguirus sculpted by Dopepope

Turns out that the stated scale was off. I'm most of the way through printing a DopePope-sculpted Showa Godzilla, and this Anguirus dwarfs it. Godzilla looks like a toddler by comparison. The Anguirus was too large, if my calculations were correct. I'm going to print a rescaled Anguirus to go with G...

Re: 3D printed Anguirus sculpted by Dopepope

I got the base files fixed, and the printing finally completed! One of these days, I'll get around to the seam filling and usual 3D print post-processing, then it will be paint time. https://i.postimg.cc/CBf3dHBV/angy1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/67Ss91Q0/angy2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/JytVCWR0/angy3.j...

New Marvel Omnibus editions coming soon. ROM, Spaceknight and Micronauts

They're a bit pricey, ($112.50 + shipping on Amazon), but I really want to get the upcoming ROM and Micronauts omnibus editions from Marvel. I missed many issues of both back in the day, and would really like to have complete collections.

Re: 3D printed Anguirus sculpted by Dopepope

A snag has developed. The base won't print properly. I went back and looked at the digital file in my slicer, and for some reason the center of the base is flat, but there's a wavy margin surrounding the flat center. From that margin, the base slightly curves upward toward the outer edge. That upwar...
