Re: Play Station 3 Hacked

Like Avall15. My games are all store-bought, but at times there are add-ons, upgrades, etc that can only be bought online. I also prefer to play alone(Tomb Raider, etc), for a few reasons most of my friends are spread across the globe and right now I don't have a good, steady team to play with. As w...

Re: Play Station 3 Hacked

Actually no PS3 was hacked, what was hacked was the PSN servers that store members info and details. Change all your PSN, etc passwords as well as those for your CC's including ones you used previously on PSN. I am fine on the CC-details as I use a local pre-paid card and card-reader from the conven...

Re: Netbooks - Does anybody use one, or experienced one?

My son is using a netbook(eeepc to be precise). Good for surfing the net, sending mails, watching youtube but for homework he climbs onto one of our other PC's. Bigger screen, full-sized keyboard, etc Spec-wise it is ok and speeded up after I removed a lot of the crud software that was put on it. Bi...

Re: Here comes the Heat...........

Try Tokyo. Still April and we are on 20+Celsius temps, next month we hit the rainy season(LOTS of humidity), after that summer-heat 30-35+Celsius(nigh-time lows at 28-30) + high humidity, after that Typhoon season. Add in that due the Quake, Tsunami and knocked out Power Plants we are short on Power...

Re: RECASTS --Dealt With T0-Day

I have done similar to a few kits(bought in good faith) after their true nature became known.
Some people even said they would take them of me, no they got to meet me.

Phil fully understand how you feel.

Re: I hope all our japanese friends are okay!

You gotta pair my friend!
Thx, but I wouldn't say that. Just the same as the Millions of people(Japanese & foreign) around me.

We are simply used to quakes, we get many small ones during normal times too.

Re: I hope all our japanese friends are okay!

Had something happen that brought a little smile to my face. Doorbell rang and a delivery-man was standing outside, didn't expect any deliveries so was surprised. Turns out it was a "White Day"(March14th) hamper(Choco, cookies, etc) that my sons Grandmother had posted the previous day from...

Nallissa2.

The overseas news is hyping it so badly that we are telling our overseas families and friends NOT to watch the news.
Never mind that a lot of false news and info is being spread too.

Re: I hope all our japanese friends are okay!

Yes, we have detected "increased levels" of radiation. Right now we are measuring 16cpm(up to 160cpm is considered normal level). Not sure what normal background levels are though. ;) I got more during my CT-Scans. So no real worries as yet. My son finished his finals at school today(been ...

Re: I hope all our japanese friends are okay!

Still lots of quakes going on, they keep waking us up at night. Grrr. Apart from that life is returning to normal where I am. Reactors are still worrying, a few foreigners have left after been asked by their embassies to do so. Tokyo and surrounds are pretty safe even if a meltdown occurs(there can'...

Re: I hope all our japanese friends are okay!

I am on quiet a few forae, and a lot of reports, news, data are being reported as fake, etc. Plus, there is a lot of doomsday hype, etc going on. The picture you get overseas don't truly reflect what we are seeing and hearing, both good and bad sides. Not saying we aren't worried about the reactors ...

Re: I hope all our japanese friends are okay!

Down here in Tokyo and other areas I am aware off, water, etc supply is not affected.
Some Oil storage facilities, etc were burning for some time.

Up in the affected areas they got nothing right now.

Re: I hope all our japanese friends are okay!

Just came back from the outside world. Most Trains are running but in reduced numbers so long queues just to get into the station. Shops, etc are pretty much sold-out due to the rolling blackouts. Each Blackout will be 3hrs40min and will occur once or twice a day, depending on area. Tokyo City itsel...

Re: I hope all our japanese friends are okay!

Sorry, when I said "stripped" I meant "sold out". Been a few days with little to no sleep. Scheduled rolling blackouts are starting today to make up for the reactors that are offline. And they started well, 5 minutes before the blackout was supposed to happen(morning) we get the ...

Re: I hope all our japanese friends are okay!

Ok, news flash.

Japan will soon be hit by rolling 3hr blackouts so those will affect HLJ, etc. too.
Sources say plans are on foot to move the hlj site into the cloud but time is limited to get it done 100%.
