Good change of plans

Refund on income taxes instead of paying and both of us fully vaccinated means that it looks like WF will be on the table this years. Checking hotels for trip there and back.

Re: Bad modeling habits.

I'm well known for a work bench that looks like the aftermath of an F5 tornado and using paint lids for temporary mixing pallets, glue holders and assorted other tasks.

Revell Astronaut on the Moon as Apollo 12 Pete Conrad

I used the 50th anniversary reissue to build up the Astronaut on the Moon kit as Apollo 12 CDR Pete Conrad during his photo documentation of the ALSEP. Corrected the umbilical connections with nylon nuts and washers for the suit connections, tissue wrapped electrical wire for the hoses. Reshaped the...

I bounced back and forth on the eye lashes on her. I wasn't happy with my original attempt, so opted for just a darker tone instead.

Re: Pegasus Von Braun 1952 Moonlander

Very cool. I too have one in the stash. was going to build it, but watched "Dr Faust" complain about building his on YT. Nothing wrong with the kit, just seemingly endless multiples of everything... A lot of multiples (30 engines), but things went smoothly. I didn't find it to be a problem.

Re: Pegasus Von Braun 1952 Moonlander

Hey, that looks great! This is probably only the second one I've seen built. I've got this kit and want to ask was all that frame work difficult to get to come together? In the box it looks complicated tedious. I was shocked when I saw this kit announced, NEVER thought I'd see this in styrene. I wa...

Pegasus Von Braun 1952 Moonlander

Based on the designed illustrated by Chestly Bonestell in Colliers Magazine. Mostly out of box. Drilled out the portholes in the crew module and added a few extra decals. Fun build and fun in a retro space kind of way. https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/49121614_2011205195583672_494180003...

Packed and ready to go

Car is packed. Cat sitter briefed and has keys. Route programmed into Google Maps. Ready to head out in the morning with the usual overnight stop in Huntsville and a visit to the US Space and Rocket Center. ETA to Louisville about 8 PM Friday.

Safe travels, everyone.

GK Nouveau's 1/6 bust. Painted with Garage Kit Colors, Tamiya and Modelmaster paints. Drilled small holes and added gold thread to several of the masks so that they would stay on more securely. https://scontent-dft4-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/27971722_1611128082258054_7666834374054040100_n.jpg?oh=2e3d5...
