An invitation to The Clubhouse Community

#1 Post by ignatz »

Hey everyone. There was the consensus that it would be a good thing to have this sub forum for this catalog of garage kits I've been throwing on to the message board. Anyway, I've got a lot of kits, but it's far from an exhaustive collection, so I'm inviting everyone to feel free to post catalog entries of the kits in your collection as well. Just scan through the list to see if there isn't one already submitted. At the bottom of the forum page, select "Sort by 'Subject'", and "Ascending", to get an alphabetical look at the entries so far. If there isn't already a thread for the kit you want to post, then just start a new thread with the Producer Name and Kit Name as the thread title, then post a couple of pix. The format I've been using is: Box art (if any), pic of kit parts, then a couple pix of notable detail, like face sculpts, makers, marks, paperwork. Include a brief description and you're done.

I'm going to keep forging ahead with all of my unbuilt kits, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what gems are in your "To Do" pile as well!

MODEL ON!

Spotted this yesterday but wasn't sure where to post a "well done" comment :)

Once we've got through the silly-season I intend to start posting a few of these myself.

No Predators or monster-types of course :jester:

I'm really thrilled to see more kits being added to the database! This is actually more exciting than I thought it would be at the beginning. Initially, I just wanted to put up pix of stuff from my stash--stuff that just became sort of forgotten under the crushing pile of kits. But I'm having just as much fun "window shopping"! Thanks everyone. Keep up the good work!

Same here.
I loved the idea for this from a purely logistical point of view.
Nice to have the info and data gathered in one area.
But as I see each of these kits posted, it's such a blast.

Stuff I've never seen or heard of before.
Or stuff I've heard talked about, but never actually seen,

This is really taking off :D and glad to see alot of member's posting pics and sharing info in here on the kits listed as it will help alot of others out in the long run on being able to tell a Original from a recast. :D
