Another modeler passed

#1 Post by scuzzfink85 »

His nephew ? I guess is selling his uncle collection on ebay .. some of is still in print..
The listing said needs money for his family.. Maybe he went overboard buying..?
The prices are way too high for most of it.. Most is classic monster.
ebay no. 357584307063 If he wants to sell he needs to lower the prices ..

Jeepers, that's a lot of great kits!

I think I have two or three unbuilt kits at most. How can they pile up like that?

You'd be surprised...

More than a few of us have stashes that look like the final scene in Raiders...

For the family's sake, I hope they gets what he's asking. But, I'd be surprised if he doesn't have to lower the price on most of them

I think I spotted one with a 'more-or-less' reasonable price.

The rest are what I would consider to be above market.

But I agree. If he can get what he's asking, or even more, then good for the family.

He's been listing since late July.. In one picture you can see boxes in the back of alot kits..
I wonder if he was member here.. or somewhere on facebook..
His family will have long wait on most stuff he has..
As person that goes to estate sales and worked at some..
The family if they want to go They come down on pricing.. ours is a market that is shrinking

My mother said do want what with her stuff .. Just sell it..

Have you seen my inventory thread?

When I finished that I realized I have over 600 kits to be built :o
Which is why I have started thinning out ones I know I will never get to. Hopefully about 100 of those will find a new home this year.

Wow! What a picture!

Did you have to remove your furnace and hot water heater to fit the models in your basement? 8)

Nope. They are on the other side of the basement. :)
My modeling area takes up roughly 1/3 of the basement. All the mechanicals are clustered near the base of the chimney.

By the way, I took a look at the kits that have sold and by and large it looks like he's getting the prices he wanted...
