Giving Credit Where Credit Is Certainly Due

#1 Post by overspray »

If you noticed in a recent thread (viewtopic.php?t=126543}, Derek, the author of that thread, mentioned he was delayed on his project.

I am here to fess up. I caused one of the delays. When I saw the photo in his first post and noticed the bag next to McClane's feet, I asked myself, hmmmm wonder if he would consider making a copy for me? So I asked Derek and he responded almost immediately in a positive manner, but noted that he had never cast anything before and wasn't sure how it would turn out. Within a few hours he had ordered the materials he needed and within a few days he had mailed me his first cast! And, the cast was perfect - amazing work for the first time.

We've all been there - missing a part or not being able to find a certain accessory, and how wonderful it feels to find a solution.

I can't say enough about how nice and kind Derek is. It's so refreshing to see, and sooooo rare, in this crazy world. =D> =D> =D>

So not only is he an amazing kit builder, painter and now caster, he is a genuinely great person.

This is why I love The Clubhouse, which is great only because of people like Derek.

Way-to-go Derek - and it couldn't happen to a nicer person Dennis!

Nice bag. John Philips, London. I Have Two Myself. (* I don't really :) *)

Denny,

You are far too kind.

Someone once cast something for me (years and years ago) and asked only that I return the favor some day. I never thought I'd ever cast anything but I was more than happy to give it a try, even if I had my doubts about being able to carry it off.

Sharing tips and helping each other when we're able is one of the reasons I enjoy coming to the CH every day.

:rolf: , nice one!

It is an absolute joy to follow Derek's in progress threads. Definitely one of the many fantastic members of the CH.

And we get some of Spike's humor? How does this possibly get better?
