I saw this posted on FB. I am not the original poster. But I too am curious about this bust. I've been looking for a PotP kit for some time.
Any info would be appreciated. Who produced it, when it was produced, and if it is still available (doubtful). And even better, if anyone is willing to part with one.
Oddly enough, I contacted Charlie about this kit a few years ago, right before I went to my first Wonderfest. Which is why I did not get the kit at the time. He was willing to cast one for me. But the circular keyboard base is no longer available.
I did not recognize it from this angle, and the image above has a custom base.
Custom bases are pretty easy to make (or even to order - just ask barad_dur about his base suppliers), and Tim Fortuna can "hook you up" and print you any kind of custom name plate you want - so you can ask Charlie to make you a cast and ... go for it!

The circular base that Mike cooked up really finishes it off perfectly.
Unfortunately, the keyboard base is no longer available. Or are you referring to something else?
Fortunately, for me, I contacted Charlie and he had one kit left and now the molds are dead. I did not ask him if there are any plans to remold it. But i got the impression that this might be it.
I know the feeling when you get a producer to do the very last casting on an iconic years old kit! (My similar experiences were with Tony McVey about 12 years ago, and his running T-Rex kit, and John Tucky about 17 years ago and his big hairy guy toho Kong.)
Anyway, please post the in progress and then finished photos will you?

Whew... just in time.
Yes, the keyboard base. Mike had rearranged the keys into a round form

I've seen Phantom of the Paradise dozens of times over the past 30 years since I first stumbled upon it. And while I was prepping reference images I just noticed...
The logo for Death Records is branded onto his face.
Am I alone in missing this tiny detail? Sure is going to make painting this bust that much more challenging.
