Senjutsu still gets selective repeat play.
Writing on the Wall and Stratego are still in heavy rotation in my listening, with Days of Future Past, and Hell on Earth getting occasional listens.

I am also quickly falling out of love with Rain on the Graves. A bit too repetitive, with little substance. I still love Afterglow, though I wish it was just a touch faster paced.

YouTube DOES have that "play at various speeds" option

MCTV's Scott at 2 x normal speed sounds just like Porky Pig minus the stutter :) . . . I've got to remember to ask Jason to get him to say "The-the-the-That's all folks".

Yeah, I know. I have tried at 1.25 and at 1.5. Some sections sound great sped up like that, while other suffer from it.

Been hearing this on the radio for a few weeks now. It still grabs my attention.
Disturbed - Don't Tell Me (feat. Ann Wilson)

Such a beautiful and powerful duet.

Well, I couldn't NOT post this link in this thread. (I have already started a separate thread about "Post-Modern Jukebox", which is the most revolutionary musical outfit of the past 10 years, but had to post this particular song here. )

PMJ was started by classical/jazz pianist Scott Bradlee and for 10 years has been burning up youtube (with over 400 videos) and touring the USA and Europe non-stop. Put simply, he takes classical rock songs and rearranges them into myriad traditional 1920s-1960s pop styles, then has a rotating panoply of mind-blowingly talented singers "put it over".

Anyway ... Kyndle Wylde is one of those singers ... and here is her recent debut with PMJ doing Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" (which Def Leppard re-tweeted from their X page with three "fire" symbols, BTW).

So ... imagine a tiny, UBER-HOT brunette with the voice and stage moves of a young Aretha Franklin ... and get ready to ROCK!!! ... Man this is just 100% "DOPE" (as I believe my kids might have once said :rolf: )

Well, The Mandrake Project dropped today.
Just now starting my journey through the songs.

First one I listened to is a huge winner though.
Eternity Has Failed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyWQahvqoOE

Might just because it is very familiar, considering it shares the same source as If Eternity Should Fail from TBOS.
Apparently the demo was recorded in Roy's living room in 2014. Bruce let Steve do some work on it for the Iron Maiden release, this is a slightly altered true to the original.

I'll admit I am pretty much totally disinterested in this album (courtesy of the 1st 2 tracks) . . . but I gave this a go (and appreciate your heads-up & thoughts). . .

I almost gave in during the 1st 90 seconds, but then it kicked in proper at 1:30, was great (chills!) up to 3:30 when we got nearly 2mins of rubbish "twiddly-twiddly", back to glory at 5:20 ALMOST (but not quite) through to the end.

That'll be the only listen this gets - and I'm not planning on researching any of the other tracks. Just not for me.

Now see, I really like the guitar on that, so I love that musical interlude.

But I get what you are saying. The only other song on the album that held my attention at all was Shadow of the Gods. And that was slow and boring for the first almost 4 minutes, then it kicks in here https://youtu.be/XUW4r_8Y5k4?t=233. But that lasts less than 2 minutes before it goes back to being lame.
Won't be buying this one.

I could mention one of the two songs The Warning dropped today, but instead I want to mention this one.
Been hearing it on the radio a lot lately and really like it.

They've been around for a while, but I never really gave them a listen.
Like I said, this song has started hitting decent rotation on my local radio, and in the car, on the road, it works really well.

Try giving it a little more time. Allison gets less annoying as the interview progresses. It helps to skip ahead to the actual interview start (around 6 min) After that, Lzzy does most of the talking.

This should go in the Warning thread, but I love this song so much I am putting it here

Hell You Call A Dream - The Warning
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6b_FgQnXL8
I love almost everything about this from the bass, the drums, and the vocals, the performance. I don't even mind the backing track with the synthed background chorus. I need to hear a real audio of this version. I like the studio version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6_hEscMgaQ
But IMHO the live version blows it out of the water.

I got one here I know Ian will like.

Heard it on the radio today and can't get it out of my head. It's been a few years since the last time I heard it.

Today it was Cattle Decapitation with the Terrasite album. One of the vocalists reminds me of original Metal Church. Which simply isn't a bad thing
