Searching the internet for weird and obscure heroes definitely yields some... strange results. Did you guys know Dogwelder?
Dogwelder was a character from Garth Ennis’ “Hitman” series. Dogwelder was part of a superhero team known as Section Eight which was a band of these crazy guys that fought crime in rather inane ways. Dogwelder is my favourite of the bunch. He’s this madman in a silver welder’s outfit that basically just goes around welding stray dogs to villains’ faces. That’s it. That’s how he fought crime. Welding dogs to people. Mind you it would be a bitch of a thing to have happen to you. You try to rob a bank and you end up with a Lhasa Apso welded to your face, yapping for eternity. *shudder*
That's just... lovely.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_8_(comics)

I think he even welded a dog to Lobo's arse once, gotta check that later.

Guess I've found me a new favorite super(?)hero

The one thing I always try to do is take a very obscure, often lame, character, and make
him (or her) a total bad@$$. Stay as close to the basic original design as you can (i.e.; don't
re-design the costume and whatnot), but play with the pose, body proportions and attitude
to make an awful character really cool. Good luck! Can't wait to see what everyone comes
up with. :D

Thanks Troy. :) good advice for us all . Maybe you can pop in here and there and give some Crits. :)

i'll be going for Snow Bird then probably a FS as there's already several busts..... read up on her, don't know her as a character but like the backstory and her powers. costume is kinda cool, like a white Scarlet Witch. 8)

I wanted to do Sgt. Kabukiman first, but there's a kind of lameness-line I didn't want to cross (yet). Guys like Aqua-Lad, Lady Asbestos and Matter-Eating-Lad live behind said line and I'd prefer if they stayed there haha. Dogwelder seems like a nice character though.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!
My son and I call each other goom and googam. He got a comic a few years back that had gooogam, finfangfoom, some giant ape... gorgilla? and one other kirby guy in it. It was a spoof but he read that book over and over.

How's this for an obscure character. Still have to work on the chain saw, shoe and clean up. Should be good for a smile.

Looking good, Tim. Will you sculpt her with her mask off?

I have to rough out a commission project first, but I'll probably start flinging some Dogwelder clay tonight or tomorrow.

the 'Walk-in' (my conservatory) is heating up some i'll be adding more clay in a few hours. mean while I will grab some castilene and make a couple of Gloved Hands. That head just sucks so that will need chopping off and editing. might pay me to do it in wax also.

hope your projects are forming up guys, check in with you all later.
