Semoet - I will be doing a cape for him but I don't want to use it to hide the skirt. I want to see if I can pull it off. Can't hide from my fears, you know? I am just deciding to do what Tim mentioned, either go forward with the cape and hands and THEN go back to the skirt or just do the skirt now and get it over with. At this point I do need to sand it off and start over...Tomorrow is my Dad's B-day so I won't have as much time to do stuff with this as I had hoped... We will just see.

Alfred - Dude! you rock! That face already looks like him already. I see now why you ran out of supplies. But I definitely associate the figure more with Skaar than having it mistaken for another hulk figure. Good call on not putting whatever that thing is on his arm.

Wow! Great stuff guys! 8)

Go away from the forum for a day or so and all sorts of bada$$ery shows up. Awesome.

Still hoping to get started on mine, but too many other things to get done first. I wanted to go full body, but maybe a bust has more chance of success at this stage.

First off, I love the face Tim. One of your best yet, I think. The Hair design looks good and the flow of the front part looks good already. Can't wait to see more of it.

Tim, you just get better and better with each sculpt. It's a real pleasure to watch your progression. :D

DP looks fantabulous, the hair is "not too much", so don't fear, Actually, it almost has an under water vibe to it which works well with the DP image, IMO. 8)

Dennis
Thankyou soooo much Dennis. that is very kind of you buddy. to be honest, i acredit any progression to the encouragement and crits i have gotten over the yrs in the Jams. You and jnr and the Gang have made me want to improve each jam i do.
So THANK YOU! 8) :thumb2:

Glad you like her btw. i did more today and have almost finished the basic maquette. finished up the body minus hands and polished up some. also done the basic form of the hair and cut it in to 2 so it fits back together.
.....and for Semoet, BIGGER BOOBS!!! but not much bigger. dont want her to look like Jessica Rabbit!!!
back to work tommorrow so will pick up on her saturday morning and post pics .(possibly before...)

atb everybody -- tim :D

I agree, Tim. Using the crits and comments to push us further and keep us practicing and you definitely see improvements. I can say that very easily with the current face that you have on the sculpt.

I am going to hold off on the skirt for now. I will rest from it and figure out how it should look. But in the meantime, I did as much as I could with the figure. Admittedly, the hands are slightly large. At first it doesn't seem noticeable on the right hand but it is easily seen on the left hand. Ah well, another thing to fix. The cape turned out pretty good with just some minor alterations needed. I might apply how I did the cape with the skirt re-sculpt. here are the pics.

Tim - thanks for the offer. If you have the time, please go ahead and show me a wip. The more methods I see, the better my chances of getting it right. You are referring to using a wire base, right? just a reminder if you can, the area of the skirt is currently at 2 1/2 inches wide and 1 3/4 inch high. I am thinking I am making the skirt more complicated ( with the folds) than it should be...

This is how I do it while standing in line at WalMart. Referring to yourself in the 3rd person while monologueing also helps to keep the check out line moving quicker.

Oh, you totally got me busted viewing the forum in class today. If only I could hold back my snorts while giggling.
