Tip-toe through the Crypt

#1 Post by derekc62 »

I call it Tip-toe through the Crypt.

This is the 'tip-toe" Wolf Man sculpted by Jeff Yagher with the Talbot Family Crypt sculpted by David Fisher.

This wonderful kit was produced by Forbidden Zone (Charlie Norris and Mike Allen) and from the first time I saw it I thought this was the best Wolf Man ever produced and I still do... however, I may be biased since the Wolf Man is my favorite of the Universal monsters.

I tried a bunch of new techniques and especially like the way the stone and door turned out.

I love everything about it. You really nailed the door and stone. Any chance we'll see a video on the build?

Thank you very much everyone. I'm quite pleased with look of the crypt - esp. the door - and I like the fur treatment (I tried something slightly different).

And yes, there will be a video. I shot a lot during the building phase but this time I didn't narrate while I was building/painting/shooting.

So I now need to finish writing the voice-over part, voice it and shoot an intro.

My hope is to have it finished in about a week... all while starting the next project (which will be much less labor intensive)...

Derek, will you be tackling the new X-Plus Werewolf Talbot kit, you know the one with the fog effect? I'd love to see you work your magic on that one! 👀🤩🤔👹

I'm going to pass on that one Vlad.

Even though I have a few thoughts on how to tackle to the fog I'm not a big styrene builder (with the exception of some vintage Auroras).

Also, my decisions now on what I build also factor in the videos I shoot, so doing two Wolf Man kits relatively close together wouldn't work for my YouTube channel.

That said, If someone wants to commission me... :D :rolf:
