Julie Walker - RotLD Part 3

#1 Post by Ant »

Picked up this great STL of Return of the Living Dead Part 3's Julie from Diklichart during a recent sale. Fantastic amount of detail although I did do a few small tweaks. I thought the fishnets were going to be really tough, but they are so crisply modelled/printed all it took were some very light drybrushing passes of black over the fleshtone to get the effect you see.

The glass shards were part of the original mesh - I removed these after printing and replaced them with new shards cut from clear acetate sheet - looks much more realistic. Also the finger wires were replaced with fusewire - I'd already broken 2 just whilst cleaning the prints.

The base was a solid one piece with embossed nameplate and Trioxin label - I removed both of these from the mesh with Blender, and also hollowed it out and cut out the window part. I then sculpted a rough & ready 'occupant' around a printed skull and added him inside. He's a bit hard to see through all the grime but you get the idea. Finally I cut a stencil for the Trioxin text on my vinyl cutter and sprayed the lettering back on.

Man, that looks awesome!
And the changes you made really enhanced the piece.

That was some work you put in to it, but the result was worth it. For the sake of the Gallery, what is the size of the piece ?
