Yeah - I don't think I've EVER seen a JANUS kit (released or otherwise) that wasn't amazing.

That Chris Walas fella sure has some talent! - I'll have to see what else he has done (I don't recognise the name).

Christopher Walas is an American special effects legend, make-up effects artist, film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his work on the film The Fly, for which he won an Academy Award and was nominated for two British Academy Film Awards. He did sculpts for garage kits back in the days. Best known for his sculpt for the Dark Horse Creature from the Black Lagoon. He and Rick Baker designed and created the puppets for Gremlins and Gremlins 2. There is an article on him in the Amazing Figure Modeler Premier issue.

My guess...their unproduced Phantom fo the Opera at the Organ. As for this Sun demon, I saw it on display years ago at a Wonderfest.

That's the one. I think there was some sheet music in a falling pattern included as well with the one displayed at Wonderfest years and years ago.

Too many parts and licensing it was suppose to vinyl too..

The Phantom was produced as a bronze.

I used to see it for sale on e-bay by Janus' founder John Ulakovic.

Here are some images: (BTW, a similar styled Phantom was produced about five years ago by Needful Things)

Actually, that Phantom is public domain, no licensing required. And as far as I'm concerned, a kit can never have too many parts! The more parts, the more time I spend with it!

Films can be public domain all day long. Truth is, the actor's likenesses are not.

I absolutely agree... More parts = less Silly Putty!!!
It also allows you to make the kit able to be disassembled
for transport/shipping.
