CCP Gamera 1999 Commission

#1 Post by Jon LeGrand »

This is a CCP Gamera resin kit, it is called 30 cm since it is that tall, but due to it's hunched posture and bulk I would say it is more in scale to a 40 cm Godzilla. The body is hollow cast but very thick, there are pins and magnets used to help hold it together. I used copper/green color shift paints on the shell, and used yellow and orange enamels to do fire effects.
Here is a video:

Here are some photos, first one shows in compared to a 30 cm Godzilla, so that is why I disagree with it being called a 30 cm kit even though technically it is 30 cm tall.

Fantastic paint up.
Helena is here at hand;
And the youth, mistook by me,
Pleading for a lover's fee.
Shall we their fond pageant see?

I agree about the size. Definitely bigger than advertised.

Love the color-shift paint. Really cool effect.
And, man, your glowing paint effects are spot on!
