So, which kits did Polar Lights reverse engineer?
Got to talking about this subject in this thread
https://theclubhouse1.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=125459
And I realized it's been so long, I have trouble remembering which ones they reverse engineered.
I can remember a few, but I think I am missing a lot.
I know the Go Kart. Pretty sure Ghidorah and Rodan.
Pretty sure they did Hunchback and Witch.
I know they did the Bride, but not sure about much else.

I think that we first need to establish and agree upon a master list of kits.

That reminds me.
I should go back to HobbyTalk and see if I can find Phrankenstein's text list of all the kits

Trev Rodan was reversed as have both reissue and original. The reverse has massive loss on details specially the wings as its smooth and the original has a lot of texture on the whole kit. I did a side by side years ago on here of the two with pics.
Travelers to unknown regions would be well-advised to take along the family dog. He could just save you from entering the wrong gate.

Yeah... that was an enjoyable time with everyone getting their heads together to make
the list as authentic as possible. Had alot of participation from both Lisa and David who
provided great info!

Same.
Which is why I kick in a few bucks every now and then when they are asking for donations.

Based on what I just built, someone re-engineered the 1964 Jekyll and Hyde kit; they added connectors for the shirt the legs and for the neck to the shirt. Thank God!

What about the Atlantis animal kits - Bison; Bear & Cubs etc etc. Were they made using the original Aurora moulds?

I'd guess they got them when they bought up all the Revell USA molds.Aurora 484 wrote: ↑November 21st, 2023, 9:13 pm What about the Atlantis animal kits - Bison; Bear & Cubs etc etc. Were they made using the original Aurora moulds?

No idea. The only animal kit I ever owned/built was the Big Horn Sheep.

I own the bear, and the dear as original Auroras that I purchased already built.
I have the stallion or whatever it was Atlantis reissued. I got it with the grim reaper to go on his back.
