1:1 Son of Frankenstein project

#1 Post by SCULLY1953 »

I actually found a resin Cine art bust a few months ago in a trash pile in front of a house down the street from my home. They had apparently moved out and it was just in a box of old toys, stuffed animals, etc.. Talk about one person's trash being another's treasure. It was an older couple and I can only assume they had a son and just tossed it out with his old toys. Lucky me!!!!
I managed to painstakingly cut it away from the base and luckily only damaged the right shoulder a bit. The hands were purchased on EBAY and I got a great pair of resin boots from Rob Cametti of Mucklebones. I've done full size figures before but used mannequins for the bodies, but since this figure's stature is at least 6"6", I'm thinking my best course of action would be a PVC "armature" that I can pad out under the wardrobe.

I actually did the same thing with a mannequin...I reposed the arms and have him standing next to the sink holding out a hand towel in the bathroom in my lower level//home theatre/man cave...I call him my men's room attendant.
It's really fun to watch people walk in there the first time they come over, not expecting to see him there.

I've been in the hobby long enough to know the difference between an original Teves and a recast. I don't deal with re casts, I purchased a few when I first entered the hobby many years and once I knew the deal, I threw them out.
