Batman Statue for my Portfolio.

Thanks for the reply. I brought some silicone putty off of the Internet to try and make a waste mold of a head I was working on, couldn't believe the speed in which it cured! Not cheap to waste either. So far so good mate!
Re: Batman Statue for my Portfolio.
I have chosen to restart my Batman statue. Since it's original purpose was for learning and my skills in working with wax are not up to par, I decided to use a firmer clay for the body and only use wax for the detailed parts (head, hands and boots). It was much quicker to sculpt the whole figure and during the whole process I have learned a lot from my mistakes. Now I just need to finish this guy up, no more excuses.

Thanks Tim! I actually chose a more static/classic pose to make it a bit easier. I didn't want to bite off more than I could chew like before.Tim-Osullivan wrote:powerful base sculpt. Looks very strong.![]()

Keep at it, looks great so far.

Thanks for the info. Are you gonna sculpt the torso and legs in the y2klay then transfer it to wax?
