#1 Post by Tim-Osullivan »

MORNING BUB, FIND A SPOT N TAKE A SEAT. EVERY-ONE WELCOME HERE......

Image

Ok after a hiatus, the Café is opening its doors again. welcome one and all from Novice and would-be sculptors to Cigar chewin' Pro Sculptors.
This is the place to swap ideas, show Work-in-Progress, demo techniques/tutes and generally hang out and keep in touch.

The friendly Denizens will encourage, offer tips and cits on your endevours. Don't be shy if you are new to the forum; this is the Training Area for the Big Pond down stairs.
So if you have wanted to show stuff or ask questions the the Café is for yoo! yes, YOO there!! :D

The tables and couches are dusted off, the coffee and pizza is on. I am wearing my best Chef's trousers so Come on down!

'OUI Chef'.......I will apply for a job as your 'Washer Upper'

Seriously though Tim.....for me this is great. I am always working on a commission and this will enable me to create and show what I am doing for someone else and will attempt to post a working progress on a different model each month with pics and explanation. I am about to start on my next Harrop's model. It is the Christmas Beano/Dandy piece featuring Dennis the Menace and Gnasher. That's if it is ok with you Chef..... :) This way I won't feel as though I have disappointed by not finding time to sculpt a specific theme. 8)

The great thing about your café Tim is it is a 24/7 opening time......hope you manage to get some sleep in there...

Thanks

Muchos grassy ass Chef......I really must learn how to speak French....

A lot of Cafe's these days have artwork adorning their walls. Perhaps you might have such a wall in your establishment....wouldn't it be great if you could create a virtual wall Tim and at the end of each month, show the best of the best in one place. It could be a members favourite piece of Fantasy artwork, or a sketch drawn ready to become the latest jam creation. I love to think that we have to embrace the power of computer graphics because they are here to stay, and the sooner we all accept the inevitable, the better.

I think your cafe could eventually be up for an award very soon Tim.

Here's something to chew on:

Still a ways to go yet, but getting there. Straight up SuperSculpey over a plumber's putty/aluminum foil/twisted wire armature. Zapped the face with gray primer just to see it better.

Just saw the new Cafe logo! =D>

Which reminds me, I have a little chef dude I'd been working on in SS. I transfered it to wax recently so I could finish him up. I'll have to get him back out of solitary,

I myself use Photobucket and once you've uploaded, there's a tab called DirectLink which you click on and paste the link in your text; that appears as a photo.

All right gentlemen, I'll expect you to be on your *best behavior*, there's a lady present. :D

Here's your pic, it just needed a space between the word "on" and the addy with the image tags.

Thanks, Fellas! Ya'll certainly know how to make a lady feel welcome.

And no worries about the "name calling". I'm surprised Dennis remembers that from my very first post ever during the jams!! The clay guy is a character from Dragon Ball Z named Kid Buu. Son is currently obsessed  How has everyone been these days? Life giving you time to push some clay around?

The Joker Jam if I recall correctly? That was one of the all-time classic jams. I think it was one of, if not -THE- highest rated Jams in terms of participation and views.

Well, you know what they say; "When life hands you clay lemons, sculpt lemonade!" or...uhh...err...something like that!
