Re: 1:72 Hand Head Haunebu

Thanks for the kind words guys! I had a lot of fun with the build! Some people said they've had trouble getting the various saucer panels to sit together properly, I did it in sub assemblies and it seemed to make the difference for me. I glued the lower saucer panels together, two of the upper sauce...

1:72 Hand Head Haunebu

Since Nazi Flying Saucers seem to en vogue right now, here is a short video of my Head Hand Haunebu. It's pretty much a mild retooling of their Adamski UFO. The base is an IKEA "RIBBA" picture frame.

Enjoy the video!

Re: Primers for Vinyl kits

While building my Dragon Models MK 17 Iron Man, I discovered that you can brush Mr. Surfacer onto the vinyl parts (hands) and it will fully dry allowing you to use whatever kind of paint you want. I don't know if that also applies to the spray can version of Mr. Surfacer, but you could try it on an ...

What ship you deploy on?
I was onboard the HMCS Winnipeg; we sailed from Esquimalt, British Columbia, Canada, sailed through the Panama Canal and by the time we got home eight and a half months later, we had circumnavigated the globe!

MK XVII Heartbreaker

Hey Guys, I just recently got back from an eight and a half deployment in the mediterranean and I wanted to show you one of the projects I brought for my off duty hours. This is the 1/9 scale MK XVII from Dragon Models. I painted him overall with Tamiya gold and then masked and painted Tamiya mica r...

Re: Mr. Fusion flea market find

Looking on Ebay I discovered two things;

One- People Who know what these are will ask for more money(found two on ebay, both for $150),

Two- there is a guy in Canada who makes the Mr. Fusion decals! Oredered and waiting for me at home (the decals, not the seller)

Re: Mr. Fusion flea market find

I should be heading back to the West Coast of Canada via the far East, so I'm hoping to stopping in Japan. The missus has already been notified that there will be wanton spending taking place if I go there!

Mr. Fusion flea market find

So my ship was in port in Kiel, Germany this past weekend and on Sundays the shops are all closed and there is a large flea market that takes over the sidestreets. While I was milling around I spotted this: http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n154/Darph_Bobo_photos/Krups_zpsp7mkbf1i.jpg A Krups coffe...

No worries, looks like I'm about to deploy for a few months anyway. The crummy part is that the minesweepers don't have at- sea internet :cry:
