Re: So, what cool styrene have you scored lately?
I've wanted this kit since it was originally released in the 70s, but I could never find one in any of the hobby shops I had access to (that was before I was old enough to drive). Then I wanted to get the Lindberg reissue, but life's priorities got in the way and, again, didn't get one. Well, I'm g...

Just scored this vintage plastic last night https://i.postimg.cc/dQjbk011/pirateplaque.jpg It isn't complete, but what has me excited is I will finally have that vacuformed plaque again. I remember having a couple as a kid, but so far all the partial vintage kits I have scored didn't have one. The ...

Oooo! Great kit. In case you didn't know, there is a replacement head for it too. http://www.escapehatchhobbies.com/Play%20It%20Again.htm I saw that on their website, and I do like the sculpt. If the whole "Tom Waits" thing doesn't work out because I can't get the likeness even close and ...

Polar Lights' "Play it Again, Tom", their re-issue of the old Haunted Mansion kit that somehow doesn't require licensing through Disney because they changed a few words on the box. Not that I care, mind you, I'm happy to have the kit to build again: https://i.imgur.com/BUNebLs.jpg I had ev...

Oooh, Phantom of the Opera. That's one of the Aurora kits I could never find back in the 60s, so I've never built one.Todd P. wrote:Atlantis now owns a bunch of original Aurora molds. Round 2s web page for the kit indicates "new battle damage decals", but no mention of changes to the molds.

Re: Zombieland : Double Tap
I really liked Zombieland so I'm looking forward to seeing this, but after 10 years I'm not expecting much. Also, the only other movie I've seen that was directed by Ruben Fleischer was Gangster Squad (2013) which I really didn't care for, so the first movie might have been a fluke. I hope I'm wrong...

Re: This may have potential ! - The Orville
Strange... in Canada, ST:Discovery is still being broadcast on the Canadian version of Sci-Fi (called SPACE)... Yeah, it seems Star Trek: Discovery is available to watch free everywhere in the world except in the U.S.. :-s But that's okay, I guess; I think The Orville is more entertaining anyway.

Re: This may have potential ! - The Orville
It seems obvious that they're still trying to figure out what they want the show to be, but I thought the third episode was better than the second, which was better (though not by much) than the first. It's not Galaxy Quest , but it's not horrible either so I'll keep watching until it stops being en...

I like that pose alot better than him carry the girl. :like I do too. I spoke with the sculptor, Adam Dougherty, at Monsterpalooza back in 2012, and he told me he had sculpted two sets of arms for the kit because Moebius had originally planned to release both versions at the same time. It was only ...

...1. What happened to the likeness of Frank Gorshin and the expression on this face/head? I mean, the box illustration is PERFECT, but even the great David Fisher couldn't make this head look good in the buildup!... ...I had no interest in a comic character, but that set would get me interested :D Out of all of the villains on the show, Frank Gorshin's Riddler has always been one of my favorites. I didn't notice the difference until his very last change, when I thought what the heck is going on. Hehehe The changes are pretty subtle until the last one, which seems like they decided, "Okay this is our last shot at this. Let's really make him ugly." Lon Chaney Sr. did something simil...

Re: Just wondering about the Moebius Curse of the Werewolf
I could be wrong, but I seem to recall reading something online a few months ago about Moebius putting the Curse of the Werewolf kit "on the back burner" for a while because they had other kits in the works that they felt needed their immediate attention (and that would likely generate a h...

Re: Which Mr. Hyde?
I just watched the Barrymore version on the weekend and his depiction of Hyde is tremendous given that - in the initial transformation - he's using facial expressions and his own acting talent to morph into Hyde. The later transitions rely more heavily on make up... In the book, Hyde gets larger an...
