Re: What is your preference?
The last time I built The Forgotten Prisoner I filled in the eye sockets, added the nasal septum, filled in the palate, and, since I wanted the head tilted back (like the box art) I made a rough section of cervical vertebrae from part of the sprue since it would be obvious that the bones in his neck...

Re: Dead Mans Raft POTC finished
Maybe the molds were shot, but I'm quite surprised these kits weren't reissued due to the popularity of the movies. I think that's probably because they don't really represent the movies well, the possible exception being Curse of the Black Pearl . Either that, or The Mouse wanted too much money fo...

Well, there you have it, straight from the artist who sculpted the master for this kit; can't get any better than that. BTW Adam, thanks for taking the time to respond!

Re: Moebius CFTBL
Great kit nice start so far, Question : how difficult would it be to raise the creatures arms more like the photo from the movie ? would using boiling hot water help bend the arms at the elbows ? thanks. Karl In a word, no. You would have to cut the arms at the elbows, reposition them, fill the gap...

...We are talking about 10 inch high figures then, correct? Well, in the one image westbatman posted it states, "Each completed kit measures about 8" to 10" tall, including base ." I think it's reasonable to assume the image with the cardboard cutouts is representative of the co...

Re: Why no Penguin????
If they do a Penguin kit, which seems likely, it probably won't be a reverse-engineered reissue of the Aurora kit, but it'll probably be as good or better.DinoMike wrote:Well, since Moebius just announced a line of kits from the 1966 Batman series at Toy Fair, it might finally happen!

Re: Moebius CFTBL?
Wondering if there might be a "customizer" kit added in the coming year. It would be great to be able to pose the kits differently. Additional arms in different positions, same for Julia. I know Aurora headed in that direction one time but the technology really wasn't there. Now it's poss...

Truly one of the nicest build-ups of this kit I've seen so far! I particularly like the way you modified the heads so that they're actually looking at each other--nice attention to detail!

Re: Moebius The Mighty Kogar
My "deluxe" kit finally arrived today, two days after the estimated delivery date (thanks U.S. Postal Service!). I'd forgotten just how small these kits are! Like Trevor's kit, the resin "Kathy Burns" head and torso part in the kit I received is slightly narrower than the styrene...

And, of course, there's always the good old MPC/AMT/Ertl styrene kit. Admittedly it's not the best Star Destroyer kit ever produced, but it can be made to look quite good with a little extra work.
