Moebius Joker (and the rest of the collection to date...)

#1 Post by Dale Stringer »

Received mine - I haven't posted in awhile - As usual, pretty neat kit - minimal to no sanding/filling - Hopefully they complete the set with the Batgirl release (a small one) - Apologies for the mobile pohne pics - camera is on the blink.... :(

Really nice work. I've heard a couple of people complain that the face sculpt doesn't look enough like Cesar Romero. (I was thinking that the eyebrows might need to be brought down and reshaped a bit.)

But your paint job nails it. Did you do any re-sculpting to the face and/or hair, or is it just good painting?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul - No physical reshaping done. I did alter his eye brows as you said - I move the ends pointed down towards the bridge of Cesar's nose back a bit to match the box art......I think the kit face sculpt is spot on - For achieving a styrene likenesses, I have to say Moebius is still doing pretty good IMO -

Thanks to all for commenting and to Spock for posting it for me in the gallery - that made my day :D

Nice paint work on the kit, but I agree with the skeptics, they missed the mark with the resemblance on this one. I guess I'll have to rely on the replacement resin head if someone ever does one !

great paint work, on the Joker, and the whole set!
I think the original sculpt for the Joker was probably good, but got 'squished' in the molding process. His face is too narrow. Looks more like Matthew McConaughey to me, honestly.
But, overall, with the other figures, it's a great set.
